The catalogue A Story of Antiquity accompanies the third exhibition in the series Masterpieces from the Lanckoroński Collection series. This latest instalment is a pioneering project involving the gathering, cataloguing, and comprehensive presentation of the ancient art collection one belonging to Karol Lanckoroński.

 

The book consists of two main parts: an essay by Joanna Winiewicz-Wolska devoted to the subject of Karol Lanckoroński’s collection of antiquities, and an extensive catalogue compiled by Bartłomiej Makowiecki, in which the author reconstructs the count’s collection of antiquities based on surviving inventories, references, and archival photographs.
